PUENTE PROJECT - Through counseling, writing, and mentoring, Puente scholars are prepared to transfer to four-year colleges and universities and return to the community as leaders. The Puente program empowers students to achieve their goals through motivating activities, cultural and university field-trips, an intensive writing curriculum, and exposure to mentors in career fields of interest. EOPS – the Extended Opportunity Programs & Services is a state funded program designed to help students who are economically, socially and educationally disadvantaged. Our services include but are not limited to individualized academic advising, priority registration, textbook assistance, and specialized foster youth services.

Graduating seniors can participate in our Summer Block Program to help them transition into college. The Summer Block Program enables students to enroll in special group sections of Counseling 110 and either Library Science 101 or Career Life Planning 101. An all-expense paid field trip is part of this fun summer program. Get a head start in your first year of college by attending the Summer Block Program.
